About the Session:

 Join us for an overview of the scientific concepts in the grade 4 unit Wheels & Levers. We will discuss simple machines using hands-on experiments and demonstrations. You will leave with new ideas for classroom ready activities.

The Alberta Science Network Teacher Workshops program is geared to new teachers and teachers new to a grade level. We provide the theory behind the science and give teachers practical ideas and demonstrations to make them more comfortable and confident with the unit.  

About the Presenter(s):
Ed Kusmirski Ed Kusmirski, P.Eng. is the Executive Director of the Alberta Science Network and has been providing workshops through the Alberta Science Network for Teachers in Alberta for a number of years. These workshops are directly linked to the Alberta Curriculum.
Cancellation Policy:

Request for cancellation or refund must be received in writing (fax/email) at the CARC office a minimum of 7 FULL days prior to the event start, or registration fees will apply and refunds will not be issued. If you are unable to attend a session and unable to provide seven FULL days’ notice, please feel free to delegate an alternate to attend in your place. CARC also reserves the right to cancel an event within the 7 calendar days due to unforeseen circumstances such as facility closures, terrorist threats, natural disasters or extreme inclement weather (-35 C or colder). Cancellation notices should be sent to npenney@carcpd.ab.ca.
