Please join us for an interactive, hands-on workshop on the grade 6 curriculum topics “Air & Aerodynamics” and “Flight”. You will leave with an increased knowledge of the science principles at work and classroom ready demonstrations for you to experiment on with your students.
After a quick break we will cover a few concepts relating to the “Sky Science” unit. In particular we will show you some demonstrations that you can use to cover the earth / moon system, rotations, orbits and moon phases.
The Alberta Science Network Teacher Workshops program is geared to new teachers and teachers new to a grade level. We provide the theory behind the science and give teachers practical ideas and demonstrations to make them more comfortable and confident with the unit.
