About the Session:

Leadership teams across the province and beyond are engaging in the essential work of establishing Collaborative Response Models, a school-wide framework that values collaborative, action-focused responses, data-informed discussions, and timely intervention to ensure all students can experience success.  This advanced session will allow educational leaders a chance to dig deeper and determine further next steps for their Collaborative Response Model, particularly in relation to deepening staff collaborative efforts that dramatically enhance collective efficacy across the organization.

Kurtis will share numerous ideas and examples from schools and districts across the province, as well as provide extended opportunities for focused conversations with those in attendance.  Come ready to share your successes, challenges and learn from others to assist in determining where to go next with your team.

Kurtis Hewson

As Lead Leader and co-founder of Jigsaw Learning, Kurtis has championed the call for collaborative structures in schools to ensure success for all students and enhance the collective efficacy of those dedicated educators working in classrooms. Kurtis works to establish responsive relationships with districts and system level leaders to design collaborative frameworks for educators and develop leadership capacity at all levels. An engaging speaker and facilitator, Kurtis interacts with thousands of educators and educational stakeholders annually to ensure the Collaborative Response Model is foundational to how schools work together to ensure success for all students.

Kurtis and Lorna are the co-founders of Jigsaw Learning, co-authors of the text Envisioning a Collaborative Response Model, and currently work with districts and schools nationally and internationally establishing Collaborative Response frameworks and interacting with thousands of educators annually.

 

Cancellation Policy:

Request for cancellation or refund must be received in writing (fax/email) at the CARC office a minimum of 7 FULL days prior to the event start, or registration fees will apply and refunds will not be issued. If you are unable to attend a session and unable to provide seven FULL days’ notice, please feel free to delegate an alternate to attend in your place. CARC also reserves the right to cancel an event within the 7 calendar days due to unforeseen circumstances such as facility closures, terrorist threats, natural disasters or extreme inclement weather (-35 C or colder).
