Self Regulation in the Middle Years
Presented by: Kari Lotzien
Tuesday, January 30, 2018 | 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Session Location:
Central Alberta Regional Consortium 8 Page Avenue, Red Deer, AB
About the Session:

This workshop will focus on how self regulation develops in the middle years. By grade 2-5, students are moving to more complex social relationships and are required to be more independent in their daily life. This workshop will focus on how we can support students to develop increased self awareness and independence. We will learn ways to teach our students about their own sensory processing styles along with the tools they can use to support attention and focus. Aspects from the Zones of Regulation and We Thinkers Social Thinking Curriculum will be incorporated into the day.
