The Alberta Regional PD Consortium (ARPDC) is committed to providing professional development to assist with implementation. Please contact your local Consortium if there are learning opportunities you feel would be beneficial.

Survey Results

Four hundred ninety-eight (498) CTS teachers responded to the provincial CTS PD Needs Assessment survey. The Alberta Regional PD Consortia Executive Directors are reviewing the results to determine what kind of learning opportunities are being requested.

Adobe Creative Suite I

This course provides intermediate instruction on a variety of Adobe Creative Suite programs. The software will be explored through hands-on projects that will include:

  • Flash - Animation techniques such as tweens and inverse kinematic and interactive Actionscript 2.0 projects
  • Illustrator - When and why to use Illustrator and tools and techniques to wow
  • AfterEffects - Motion graphics effects to use with video or as standalone projects
  • InDesign - Techniques to increase productivity while engaging brochures that effectively incorporate text, tables, and images
